The most common cigar asked for in our shop or via email is a "Churchill" - please take note, a Churchill is not a specific cigar per se, but for a large number of people they seem to think you can just order a "Churchill" - its not that simple.
A Churchill is actually a vitola (size) of a cigar; generally regarded as 7" by 47 though like most cigars they no longer meet a standard uniform size.
As defined by Cigar Aficionado magazine...

Of course these days even Habanos S.A. (the makers of Cuban cigars) have bastardised the Churchill name with Short Churchills (5" by 50) commonly known as a Robusto and Wide Churchills (5" by 55) commonly known as a Grand Robusto or Robusto Extra.
So now I am going to be even more confused when someone asks for a Churchill, because my guess is it'll be most likely a Short Churchill than an actual Churchill...
